QUALIFYING ROUNDS

 

Qualifying matches for the finals in 2008 started in the autumn of 2006.

 

50 teams have been divided into 7 groups. The winners and runners-up from each group will qualify for the finals.
Those 14 teams plus Austria and Switzerland (automatically qualifying as hosts) will take part in the finals.

 

The Dutch team is competing in Group G of the Qualifying Teams and the results so far are promising:

FINALS

 

The 16 finalists will be divided into 4 groups by draw.

The teams will play 3 matches in a league format with the top 2 teams qualifying for the quarterfinals.

Switzerland will open the tournament on Saturday 7th June 2008 in Basle.

The final is on 29th June 2008 in Vienna.
